The Obsidian, Idaho Project
Headwaters of the Salmon River, is little more than an old motel and coffee shop. It is now employee housing for the staff of Smiley Creek Lodge, and the Sluice restaurant in Stanley.
Due to the age of the structures, some posts had rotted and need to be replaced. Able to pull the logs out of the area locally with a firewood permit, it's an Idaho version of a lumber yard. Hand peeled and set upon new concrete footings, the work should be around for many years to come. Hand railing, that I cut on the Wood Mizer, is the next step of the project.
Albeit, the temperatures in the Sawtooth Valley have been below zero are challenging to work outside, we will give it a try.
That's where another update may be posted in the future on the project.
Still, you can't beat the location for an awesome place to work. :C)
And as always, High Def. (It's worth it)
